Background Christine McNiff, LMHC, NCC, is a Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a board certified National Certified Counselor (NCC). Christine has over 20 years of counseling, industry and private practice experience. She combines her clinical counseling expertise with her business knowledge to offer clients a unique perspective of problem solving. Professional History Prior to private practice, Christine worked in multinational, high-tech environments as a human resource manager, consultant, and training manager. She has worked extensively with individuals at varied business levels, as well as with groups and organizations both domestically and internationally. She currently serves as President of the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association. Clinical Experience and Areas of Expertise Christine's clinical experience includes outpatient settings, substance abuse clinics, disaster response teams, at-risk adolescent group homes, family services agencies and private practice. Her clients range from large corporations to small- and family-owned businesses, to non-profit agencies and individuals. Specialties include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, job-related difficulties and career related issues, individual/personal coaching, life transitions, employee assistance and individual outplacement assistance. Educational Background Christine McNiff has a MA degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch University and undergraduate degrees from Boston University in Business Administration and Human Resource Management. She has served as a past adjunct faculty member of The Boston Institute of Psychotherapy and is a member of The American Counseling Association, the American Mental Health Counselors Association, the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, and the Boston Consortium for Psychotherapy. Christine is listed in the 24th edition of Who's Who in the East and was a recent invited delegate to the "People-to-People" International Ambassador Program's educational initiative to Cuba for mental health and school counselors.
